I’m Carolanne — a health & wellness writer by trade for over fourteen years. When not clicking away on a keyboard, I am trying my hand at a new recipe, diving into a book, or hiking about in the woods. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area with a 20+ year stopover in NW Montana, I now live in Virginia. I studied nutritional science and fine arts in university.

Curious by nature, I love to explore, meet new people, and try unusual food. Other interests include:

Travel is my true passion. Places I’ve called home over the years include: Thailand, Central Mexico (Puebla/San Miguel de Allende), Canada (Whistler, BC/Calgary, AB), The Republic of Georgia.

Serious wanderlust has also lead me to Europe, India, and South America. Bikepacking solo for three months across Iceland and trekking through Patagonia, Chile are two of my most memorable (and challenging) trips.

Next up: Key biblical locations — Israel, Macedonia, and Southern Turkey. Petra, Jordan is also on my bucket-list.
